Fellowship & Scholarship Application Process

From January 1st through February 1st, Pierce Hill Performing Arts accepts fellowship and scholarship applications for serious young string players. Applications are applied to the calendar year that the application is submitted. Awards are announced on February 15th.

 

Fellowship recipients receive, for the calendar year, an award that includes funds toward:

  • weekly private lessons with your applied teacher

  • tuition for a summer music program located anywhere in the United States 

  • accompanist/pianist fees for competitions

  • regular progress check-ups with the PHPA Director

Scholarship recipients receive full or partial scholarships paid to the summer music program for which they are accepted.

​

Fellowship awards are available for students in grades 7 through 12.

​

Fellowship and scholarship awards are based on merit and need.

 

Eligibility

  • Students in grades 4 through 12

  • Wisconsin Resident

  • String Players – Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
